Tim Hawkins Hilariously Admits His Kids’ Nickname for Him Is Accurate

Tim Hawkins has hilariously admitted that his kids’ nickname for him is incredibly accurate. The popular funnyman mentioned the moniker his children have bestowed upon him and then showed how they were more than right when giving him that name. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear the nickname his children gave him and see how he demonstrates the accuracy of that title.

Parenting is one of the most challenging things someone can do. Many would argue, likely correctly, that it is the most difficult job anyone can attempt. Children do not come with an instruction manual. There is no step-by-step book to inform you on how to handle this or that situation, or what level of punishment to hand out when little Johnny or Susie fails to adhere to the rules. Parenting is a learning-on-the-go type of situation.

One thing parents may struggle with is how frequently to say no. No one wants their children to grow up to be brats or feel entitled. We also don’t want to deny every single one of their requests. They are kids after all, and we want them to look fondly back upon their childhood. In a clip posted on social media, Tim Hawkins has found a solution to this dilemma, which has earned him a nickname.

“Yeah, my kids think I’m really cool,” he said. “You know how cool my kids think I am? You know what their nickname is for me at home? Dr. No. Dr. No. You know why? Because I give them a lot of no. A lot of kids get too much yes. I give them no. I call it the gift of no.”

He then demonstrates the many creative and hilarious ways he tells his children no when they ask for anything. He also encourages parents to come up with their own ways of saying no to their children.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
