Comedian’s Hilarious Farming Song Parody Will Have You Cracking Up

A comedian’s hilarious farming song parody will have you cracking up. The funnyman, Jonnie W., uses his musical gifts to create this laugh-out-loud tune about the farming profession. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear his clever song about what a farm might say if it could talk.

Farming is not an easy profession. Like every other job, it comes with ups and downs. There are good days and bad days. Some days, the farmer will love what they do; other days, they probably wish they did anything but farming. Joys and frustrations have accompanied every job ever.

But unlike someone who works in an office, a farmer cannot always converse with their coworkers, especially if they are the only person farming their land. While the land will, over a period, respond to what a farm does to it, a farmer cannot get instant feedback from the land. But what if it could? What would the land say, and would it sing it instead? That’s precisely the thought behind Jonnie’s song parody about farming.

“The thing about farming is, like, you don’t really know, really, what’s working,” he said. “You have a bad season, your farm can’t tell you what it needs, and because your farm can’t talk to you. And I think if your farm could talk to you, it would go something like this.”

Jonnie then goes into his song in which the farm tells the farmer what it needs.

“You water every day, and you never forget to plow
You tell me that you’ll feed me, still my leaves are turning brown with decay
Oh, I’m feeling kind of edgy, you killed all the veggies now
It’s a shame, and it’s too late to fertilize”

If Jonnie’s song sounds familiar, it’s a parody of OneRepublic’s “Apologize.”

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
