Dating is not an easy process. It requires a lot of time, work and a ton of perseverance. Not every person will turn out to be the right person, but that’s what dating is all about. Some relationships will work, and others, for one reason or another, will not, which can be extremely discouraging.

Today, thanks to technological advancements, as with everything else, there are a handful of apps dedicated to helping people find one another. Before we all had smartphones, there were other ways to meet people and find potential dates. One of those methods was to sign up for a dating service that would connect single people looking for romantic relationships.

Of course, some of those matches were likely successful and others not so much. However, hopefully, there were no blind dates as bad as Carl and Dick’s in a clip posted on YouTube. In the opening moments of the classic skit, Dick and Carol are each shown three possible dates. 

They are both interested in two of the three people shown to them. Unfortunately, neither is interested in the other. In fact, when they watch one another, they laugh out loud and make disparaging comments about each other.

But as luck would have it, through a mishap, they are set up on a blind date. Initially, they are both outraged, and soon enough, the insults start flying. Then, something changes between them, and their blind date might not have been so horrible as they first thought. 

Well, at least for a few seconds, anyway.
