Jeff Allen responded hysterically to his homeowner’s association’s strict rules. The popular comedian admitted he had several run-ins with his HOA, and he finally found the perfect way to get back at the meddling, intrusive organization. Watch the short but hilarious clip to hear what Jeff was cited for, and also how he found a way to respond to all their constant and excessive complaints.

Even though housing prices continue to skyrocket across the country, most people still dream of buying a house of their own someday. Home ownership is, or at least it used to be, part of the American dream. Sadly, given the ever-increasing prices of even a modest house, it will likely remain a dream for far too many people and never become a reality.  

For those who are able to afford a house, potential home buyers are likely to notice one major thing about the homes they are eyeing. It’s that those homes are in neighborhoods that are part of HOAs. Now, HOAs govern and control what can and cannot go on in any particular neighborhood. They also control what can and cannot be changed about houses in those neighborhoods.

Now, some HOAs are stricter than others, issuing fines and citations for just about anything, while others are much more lenient. In a clip posted on YouTube, Jeff mentioned living in a neighborhood with an active HOA, one that freely issued fines for minor offenses. He wasn’t a fan of his HOA and found the perfect way to get back at them before leaving the neighborhood for good.

“They were always writing me up,” Jeff said. “’ Garbage can lids were off. Garage door was open.’  My rocks, I didn’t have a lawn. It was Arizona, so I had rocks, and they were messy because my kids would run through them. ‘Your rocks are a little messy.’”

Later in the clip, Jeff was finally moving, leaving that annoying and overbearing HOA behind for good, but he had one more thing he had to do. He went through the rocks, scattering them about, making a total and complete mess.

“I said, ‘I’m just setting up a meeting between Gladys and the new owners,’” Jeff said.
