Want to earn that degree? We’ve got to be willing to put in the long hours studying and reading the material. Want to finish a marathon successfully? Then, it’s about putting in the time running leading up to the big race. Want to beat your shadow in a hilarious video? Well, that might be a little tough, but it didn’t stop one dog from trying.

In a clip posted on social media, the cute animal is on a couch when it notices a strange, dark figure on the wall. The adorable animal is intrigued by its recent discovery and wants to investigate further. However, the creature on the wall does not cooperate. It continues to move and jump about, making the dog a little frustrated.

The dog then attempts to catch the dark, shadowy figure on the wall. The animal even bites at this newly discovered foe but can never connect. Despite its failure, the dog keeps trying and trying to catch its shadow.

Also, on the couch, a man watches the battle between the dog and its shadow. He is having a great time. He laughs hysterically as the dog tries to take a bite out of its shadow.
