Teacher’s Joke Will Have You Laughing… and Rolling Your Eyes

One teacher’s joke will have you laughing and rolling your eyes. The educator told her students a joke and then had the youngsters shout their best answers to the brain teaser. Watch the short but hilarious clip to hear the teacher’s joke, the children’s responses and, ultimately, the joke’s punchline.

Life is often too serious and can even be downright depressing. That is just one of the many reasons why comedy and laughter are valuable and desperately needed in society. Jokes and comedy help us decompress and escape, even for an hour or two, from the stresses and worries of everyday life. Also, if you’re laughing, that means you’re not crying, right?

When it comes to comedy, there are many different forms, suited for every preference and taste. One of the most beloved forms of comedy is the always-popular Dad Joke. Even if you’ve never heard that term before, I assure you, you are more than aware of Dad Jokes. They are essentially jokes built entirely on puns and wordplay, many of which will cause you to respond with a chuckle or two and an eye roll.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a teacher, who dedicates a few moments every day to her “Joke of the Day,” asked her students if they knew “where the queen hides her armies.” Now, that seems like a nearly impossible task. Why would a queen need to hide armies? What kind of military engagement has she gotten her country into that hiding the military is necessary?

The children give their best guesses, but each falls short. However, as the teacher mentions, one little one came close to providing the correct response.

Of course, I’m sure you’re now wondering where her majesty hides her armies. Well, “in her sleevies,” of course. See what I mean? Laughter followed by an eye.

Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
