Comedian’s Hilarious Bit About Looking For a Neighborhood With No HOA
A comedian has a hilarious bit about looking for a neighborhood with no HOA. The funnyman, Jeff Allen, desperately wanted to live in a neighborhood without a homeowner's association, and he knew the precise moment he found such a place. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear what Jeff saw that heavily indicated that there was no HOA in this one particular neighborhood.
Home ownership is part of the American dream, or at least that used to be the case. With the continued and steady increase in the price of, well, everything, sadly, owning a home may be out of reach for some individuals. Many people, due to one or more economic factors, are forced to rent.
However, there are still some people who can own homes and even retire. But even after buying the house, placing a down payment and then paying a monthly mortgage, other fees and expenses come with home ownership, especially if you live in a neighborhood with an HOA.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Jeff, while searching for a new place to live with his wife, mentioned that he wanted to be in a neighborhood without an HOA. Eventually, they came across a neighborhood where they were pretty sure, for one hilarious reason, that did not have a homeowners' association.
"We moved to Tennessee, I told my wife, 'I don't care where we live, just no homeowners,'" Jeff said. "That's the only rule I have. You can pick wherever you want to live – no homeowners."
Later in the clip, Jeff added that he and his wife were driving down the street when they spotted a most unusual sight.
"So, we were driving around our town, and we're driving down the street, and we see a family of four on their front lawn in the middle of an activity," he said. "I got to tell you, I've been around, I hadn't seen before. All four of them were in the process of burning the family couch on the front lawn. I fell out of the car, I said, 'Thank you, Lord Jesus. You have brought me to the Promised Land. There's no homeowners' association here.'"
Proverbs 14:1 "Wisdom is building her house, but the foolish woman is pulling it down with her hands."
