Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes Shares What It's Like Watching Movies With Her Father

Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes shares what it’s like watching movies with her father. The popular comedian mentioned that viewing a film with her dad is an experience unlike any other. Watch the short but hysterical clip to listen to Anjelah discuss what she’s likely to hear when she settles in to watch a movie with her dear old dad.

The world is often an insane and unpredictable place. Given the current and ongoing state of our world and society, it can leave most people feeling anxious, resulting in a significant amount of stress and worry. Of course, being in a perpetual state of unease and distress is no way to go through life. It’s not healthy, physically or mentally.

That’s why escapism and hobbies are necessary from time to time. Turning your brain off and relaxing can do a world of good, and it will hopefully put you in a better, calmer state of mind. Watching television and movies is one of the most popular forms of escapism. Just grab the popcorn, hit play and prepare to be entertained.

Although, as Anjelah hilariously explains in a clip posted on YouTube, it’s not always that simple, especially when she’s watching a movie with her father.

“My dad’s the guy, who, during an action scene, he is counting the amount of bullets coming out of a gun for accuracy,” she said. “And the second they go over the allotted amount of bullets for that type of gun, he has something to say about it. You think you’re just watching a movie, he’s silently fact-checking. ‘Aww, c’mon, 47 bullets in a Glock? This isn’t real.’”

Earlier in the clip, she pointed out that her dad will also reach out to the Lord on the actor’s behalf if anyone on screen utters any profanity.

Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
