A Cappella Group Delivers Show-Stopping Rendition of ‘Fun, Fun, Fun’

This a cappella group delivers a show-stopping rendition of the Beach Boys’ “Fun, Fun, Fun,” and it practically sounds better than the original boy band’s version. The a cappella group is bursting with talent. Play the video to see for yourself!

The all-male group is incredibly entertaining as they snap their fingers and bop and jive to the beat. There’s an especially fun moment at the end of the song when the bass singer comes in, pushing aside the higher-voiced singers to sing the final lyric, “away.”

The Beach Boys’ song is a lighthearted song about a girl who steals her dad’s car to have a good time until she gets caught. Some of the lyrics to “Fun, Fun, Fun” are:

A lot of guys try to catch her
And she leads them on a wild goose chase, now
And she'll have fun, fun, fun till her daddy takes the T-bird away
(Fun, fun, fun, 'till her daddy takes the T-bird away)

The Harvard Krokodiloes performed a great song for their group. It’s precisely the kind of song you picture a bunch of college guys singing together. And the soloist, William Murray, has a range and intonation that are especially impressive.

What makes the performance better is the personality that each member brings to the stage. You can tell that they love what they do and are genuinely enjoying themselves, as well as their camaraderie. There is a bright, colorful energy that hums through their tight harmonies. The song has a slightly fresh twist but still feels like a fun romp through the '60s.

There’s a lot of joy here, and it reminds you why everyone loves a cappella. It’s a group effort more than anything, and when done well, it’s like opening a gift. And what a lovely gift it is! These young men are going places.
