In a world where more and more people opt to buy items from websites promising two-day shipping, delivery drivers are extremely busy. After the purchases are finalized, their trucks or vans are loaded with items, and then they quickly get on their way, taking those purchases to their final destination.

The most efficient route and method is always best, especially for those delivering packages. Like everyone else, they have a job to do, and no one wants to encounter interruptions while fulfilling their duties. Any slowdown or disturbance in a delivery driver’s route could result in frustration. However, as a video posted on social media shows, one delivery driver encountered a disturbance, an interruption while delivering a package for the most heartwarming possible reason.

In the clip, the driver arrives at the customer’s property and encounters a note lying on a bucket. The note contains precise instructions.

“Please leave packages here,” the note reads with an arrow pointing to the ground.

But look a little closer, and you’ll see the reason for the odd and unexpected directive. The note adds that a “sleeping fawn” is “on our doorstep.”

 If you thought the person who wrote the note was lying or a bit strange, the camera pans over and shows proof that the creature has decided to lie next to the front door.

The creature, aware of the driver’s presence, raises its head to look in the camera’s direction, but it does not appear concerned or threatened. What an unbelievably sweet sight!
