Most people keep things to themselves. No one wants to unfurl and release all their pain, burdens and concerns on someone else. So, instead of telling others about what is going on in their lives and what has them worried, a lot of people are walking around with the weight of the world on their shoulders.

A simple acknowledgment can go a long way since it’s impossible to know and understand what everyone is going through and what battle they are currently fighting. Saying “hello” to a passing stranger could be just the thing someone needs, especially when they feel unseen and unloved. That’s why being kind can make such a big difference and impact.

Even though she is still trying to grasp this whole walking thing, she approaches every person she sees in a mall and gives them a high five. Everyone she interacted with had nearly the same response. They all immediately stopped what they were doing, turned their attention to her and had a big smile on their faces.

How could you not have that reaction whenever you had an adorable toddler chasing you down to give you a high five or a handshake? It would immediately improve your mood and brighten your entire day.

The child’s actions were so sweet and precious, but for some in the short clip, they likely meant more than we could ever know. A little bit of kindness can make a world of difference.
