When This Cat Saw a Frightened Dog, Its Response Was Pure Love

When a cat spotted a frightened dog, its immediate response was one of pure love. The feline reacted to the canine in the sweetest, most adorable way possible. Watch the short but heartwarming clip to see what the cat did when it saw that its canine pal was in a fearful state.

Cats and dogs are not known to be friends. This is something we’re all aware of and know. Cats and dogs supposedly mix about as well as oil and water, right? Even most television shows and movies portray them that way. In those Hollywood movies and TV shows, they are made out to be mortal enemies, each determined to destroy the other, or at least make their lives as miserable as possible.

Of course, not everything we see in the movies or on television is real or even remotely accurate. Hollywood takes many liberties with the truth and reality when creating entertainment. According to one video posted on social media, it appears they have done so again, particularly when it comes to dogs and cats being forever enemies and foes.

The video begins with a dog and a cat lying on a bed together. The dog is lounging stretched out, facing toward an open door. As the pup keeps a close eye on the doorway, a black and white cat continuously rubs its face on the dog’s face. At first glance, this is a sweet sight of two buddies hanging out together, but there is much more to this scene, which makes it considerably more heartwarming and might even bring a tear to your eye.

Text in the video explains that the cat, who is typically skittish, is attempting to comfort and soothe the dog, who has become frightened by the loud, booming fireworks. The cat sensed that the canine was fearful and frightened and was doing what it could to calm the pup. How adorable is that?

Genesis 1:21 “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

excuse me while I cry myself to sleep tonight 😭 Birdie came from a feral colony and is pretty skittish, but she immediately stepped up when she saw the dog crying about the fireworks show on July 4 🥹
