Grandparents Pronouncing Things Wrong Will Never Not Be Funny
Grandparents pronouncing things wrong will never not be funny. A lot of times, when this happens, it has to do with internet terms and similar, associated lingo. Other times, it has nothing to do with the internet, and they still say something completely wrong. Watch the short but hysterical clip about elderly people saying things incorrectly.
Let’s be completely clear: we all make mistakes. We’re human beings, and that means we all have imperfections and flaws. No one on this Earth is perfect; far from it, in fact. But that doesn’t mean we cannot or should not laugh at ourselves and our mistakes. Instead, we should be able to laugh at ourselves and not take ourselves too seriously.
So, with that being said, one of the funniest things is when people mispronounce words. Hopefully, after we’ve composed ourselves, we then, with much love and care, offer up the correct pronunciation for that particular word. There’s no need to be cruel about it. They may generally have no idea how to say this or that. Often, you’ll find that older people frequently say things wrong, especially if it has to do with the internet and technology. We have all been there before, and we’ve probably had to conceal our laughter, too.
A clip posted on YouTube captures a grandmother saying words incorrectly. She manages to get about half of it right, and then the other part, not so much.
“Can someone help me put these pictures of my cruise on the Facetube?” the grandmother asks, looking around.
That may actually be what someone’s grandparent calls Facebook, a combination of Facebook and YouTube.
“Oh, there you are,” she says next. “Can you stop playing that Pokeman’s game and help unload the car?”
She was so close to getting that one correct, but still came up short.
There are several other instances in the video of erroneous word pronunciation that will have you cracking up.Psalm 71:9 “Do not give me up when I am old; be my help even when my strength is gone.”
