Firefighter and Wife Give Forever Home to Baby Left at Firehouse

A firefighter and his wife have given a forever home to a baby left at a firehouse. The couple opened their home and their hearts to a youngster who needed a family. Watch this short but heartwarming and tear-jerking clip, but make sure you have tissues nearby.

Being a parent is one of the biggest blessings someone can experience. It is one of the many ways the good Lord touches and blesses our lives. There is nothing like welcoming and adding a new bundle of joy to the family. Watching that youngster grow, learn and explore will bring you unexplained joy and happiness.

As great as being a parent is, for some, the road to becoming a mother or a father can be one filled with a lot of hurt and heartache. That may lead couples to explore other avenues to becoming parents, like adoption. Adoption is badly needed as there are a lot of kids who need and deserve good, loving and safe homes.

A clip posted on YouTube mentions how New Mexico firefighter Christopher Martinez and his wife have always wanted to be parents but have experienced infertility. So, they decided to become foster parents, but the Lord already had something in mind for the Martinez family.

Soon after Christopher and his wife decided to become foster parents, a newborn baby was left in a safe haven box at his fire station. Immediately after discovering the child, Christopher was determined to make that little guy a permanent member of his family.

“I already knew right away I’m going to do everything in my power to make this my son and be there for him,” he said. “And being that he was dropped at our fire station, I felt, like, a special connection to him,” he said.

What a powerful and moving story!

Ephesians 6:4 “And, you fathers, do not make your children angry: but give them training in the teaching and fear of the Lord.”
