Gaither Vocal Band’s Soul-Stirring Live ‘Child of the King’ Rendition

The Gaither Vocal Band turned in a soul-stirring live “Child of the King” rendition. The guys’ inspired performance of the beloved tune will have you singing along with them. Watch the short clip to see and hear the Gaither Vocal Band give a captivating performance rendition of the catchy, truth-filled song.

None of us is deserving of God’s love and forgiveness. As the Bible states in Romans, all are sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. That verse from the New Testament doesn’t say some people are sinners while others are OK and get a passing grade. No, every human being has been born in sin ever since the piece of fruit was bitten in the Garden of Eden.

Despite human beings' sinful, fallen nature, we can still be forgiven and experience and receive eternal life with Him. We can be called children of the one, true and only King. If we humbly approach His throne of grace and mercy, He is quick and faithful to forgive.

In a clip posted on YouTube, the Gaither Vocal Band beautifully performs a tune about turning from the old, sinful ways, accepting Christ’s love and forgiveness and becoming a child of the King. Yes, their performance is undoubtedly spectacular and noteworthy, but the song’s lyrics set this one apart.

The lyrics detail a place and position that every Christian has found themselves in at one time. Before accepting Christ, everyone was a sinner, looking at an eternity of pain, anguish and separation from Him. But despite our sins and transgressions, Christ willingly and faithfully forgave us, making us one of His own: a child of the King.

“Oh, yes, oh yes, I’m a child of the King
His royal blood now flows in my veins
And I, who was wretched and poor
Now can sing praise God, praise God”

If that song and those lyrics do not excite you and have you singing, shouting and praising His name, nothing will. We have been forgiven. Praise His name!

Romans 8:15 “For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
