Jeff Foxworthy Explains the Difference Between Men and Women Packing for a Trip
Jeff Foxworthy explains the difference between men and women when it comes to packing for a trip. The legendary comedian mentions what he sees as contrasting styles when it comes to how men and women prepare for a road trip. Watch the short but hilarious and possibly even insightful clip to learn yet another way men and women are different.
Most people love traveling. It doesn’t matter if that travel is by plane, car or train; most of the population can be ready in a flash to head out on another adventure. Simply tell people the weather conditions of the final destination—warm, cold or somewhere in between—and they are game and down to go.
However, all travel, no matter where you’re going, requires at least a minimal amount of preparation. No one will decide on a moment’s notice to go on a trip and immediately walk out the door with their destination in mind. Rental cars must be reserved, hotels must be booked and clothes must be packed. Also, suitcases must be securely tucked away in the vehicle if it's a road trip.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Jeff mentions differences he’s spotted in how women pack a car for a road trip compared to how men complete that task. Specifically, he talked about how his wife and daughters do that and how his father did it.
“If we’re going on vacation in the car, there’s a fine line between packing and moving,” he said. “But my wife and daughters think it is their obligation to fill that SUV to the roof, and the way they would pack a car would make a man lay in the floor and cry.”
Later in the clip, Jeff hilariously explains what he means.
“They’ll bring out a bag of bread and potato chips, put it on the bottom, and then put three suitcases on top of it,” he said.
He then mentioned how packing a vehicle for vacation is an art form.
“There’s an art to packing the car, is there not?” Jeff said. “My dad taught me you do suitcase Tetris – flip ‘em, spin ‘em, turn ‘em upside down. When he would get finished, you couldn’t get a piece of notebook paper between anything in that vehicle.”
Everyone has different ways of doing things. However, some methods are much more efficient than others.
Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
