An eavesdropping dog has a hilarious reaction when it overhears its favorite word.

Animals are some of the most unique and fascinating creatures you will ever encounter. While some of them may look very similar to one another, they all have their own quirks, habits and personalities. God makes originals and is not in the business of making duplicates, which most certainly applies to animals.

Not every cat and dog will react the same way when placed in a particular environment or situation. Additionally, their response to hearing certain words or phrases will be different as well, depending on their personal history. Animals are pretty intelligent and can and do pick up on and understand what some words mean when they are said enough. That is especially true when a particular word means they will get a treat.

A hilarious video posted on YouTube shows a sweet pup's reaction after overhearing its owner on the phone during a fake call. The sweet dog sits on a bed behind the woman, listening intently as the woman talks on the phone.

From the video's opening moments, it's clear that the animal is eavesdropping on the fake phone call. The dog moves its ears back and forth, becoming particularly animated when it hears words like "treats," "peanut butter," "ride" and "Sarah."

About halfway through the video, the dog raises its head off the bed and hilariously turns it from side to side. The dog carefully listens in and tries to decipher what is being said. The animal seems to believe that something good is about to happen, that it may hear its favorite word.

Right before the video ends, the animal hears its favorite word. After the woman says the word "taco" multiple times, the dog rushes off the bed and heads for the door.

She admits that she's confused about why her pup reacts that way to the word "taco."

"He doesn't know what a taco is," she says.
