Simon Cowell Amazed By 9-Year-Old Musician's 'God-Given Talent'

A musically gifted 9-year-old amazed Simon Cowell with his “God-given talent” during his audition on America’s Got Talent.

Talent can and does come from anywhere. Some of the most awe-inspiring talent often comes from people you’d least expect. That is why shows like America’s Got Talent, American Idol and The Voice continue to be so popular. They showcase talented people who often get overlooked.

Children are the most overlooked group when it comes to being passed over. Most people, because of a child’s young age and little life experience, likely don’t think kids can accomplish much. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. A clip posted on YouTube proves that kids can do amazing things!

In the short, four-minute clip, 9-year-old Journeyy plays the piano and sings an original song of his, “Paradise.” Seconds into his audition, it becomes evident to all that this young man has incredible talent.

Journeyy’s voice and songwriting ability are outstanding. Several times throughout his audition, the cameras caught Simon Cowell’s face. His eyes widened in amazement at what he was listening to and witnessing on the stage before him.

The studio audience and the show’s judges agreed and gave him a standing ovation. This young man has a bright future ahead of him.

When the judges assessed the young man’s performance, they couldn’t have been more impressed or complimentary.

Out of the four of them, Simon seemed to be the most impressed by Journeyy’s fantastic audition.

“You are somebody who has just got a God-given talent, and it’s rare,” Simon said. “Great things are going to happen for you. I can feel it.”

Of course, when it came time to vote on the young man, all four judges gave him yes votes.

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no fickleness, neither shadow of turning.”
