Sleep is an essential activity, something that everyone needs to do frequently and with regularity. It’s something that most people enjoy doing whenever possible. Who doesn’t like catching some sleep? Unless you’re a tiny child going down for your afternoon nap, sleep is something everyone looks forward to and welcomes wholeheartedly.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one young man was so tired that he actually fell asleep during dinner with his family in a restaurant. He was in the process of eating when exhaustion overcame him. He fell asleep mid-bite, with food still in his hand. That’s how you know someone is tired. They don’t even have the strength and energy to finish the food in their hand.

The young man’s family tried repeatedly to wake him from his slumber. One woman continually called out, “Bub,” and someone else lightly tapped the child on the shoulder. None of those efforts were successful. He was clearly too tired, and it seemed as if nothing could startle him awake.

But then, soon enough, something caused him to open his eyes and wake up quickly. He heard one direct but very important question.

“You want some ice cream?” the woman behind the camera asks the sleeping child.

The young man is suddenly awake almost immediately after this question is asked. Hearing “ice cream” is likely to cause even the most tired, exhausted person to sit up, take notice and eagerly wait for their bowl of the delicious, cold treat. Yes, I’m tired, but yes, I want ice cream!
