News Anchors Share Corny But Hilarious Dad Jokes

Two news anchors share corny but hilarious dad jokes. The newscasters traded a couple of funny one-liners that will likely cause you to double over with laughter. Check out their unexpectedly hilarious back-and-forth in the short clip.

When it comes to comedy, there is something for every taste and preference. Parody, farce and slapstick are for those who prefer their comedy to be over-the-top and off-the-wall, often featuring ridiculous situations and events. Observational comedy helps to highlight the absurdity in everyday circumstances that usually go unnoticed but most definitely exist.

However, there is also witty, wordplay comedy that plays with language and messes with our expectations of outcomes by taking things in a completely different direction. The classic television show The Office, starring Steve Carell and John Krasinski, is a perfect example of what is possible with this type of comedy.

Another popular type of wordplay comedy is the beloved, classic dad joke. Of course, we all immediately know what is meant whenever this type of comedy is mentioned. They are jokes that will have you laughing hysterically while also rolling your eyes at their over-the-top cheesy and corniness.

In a clip posted on YouTube, two news anchors traded a couple of dad jokes. Both jokes will surely put a smile on your face as the two men deliver the quips, making each other, and likely plenty of viewers, laugh.

As everyone in comedy and anyone who has watched comedy knows, not every joke will land. Some will fall flat. While both tell jokes, the gentleman who goes second clearly has the much better joke.

“Dave, you know my wife is so sweet,” he says. “She told me I’ve grown as a person. Yeah, her actual words were, ‘You’ve gotten fat,’ but I know what she meant.”

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
