Teen’s Dazzling Voice Earns a Four-Chair Turn from 'The Voice' Judges

Prepare to be amazed by a powerful voice. Teen’s dazzling voice earns a four-chair turn from The Voice judges.

Not everyone gets all of the chairs turned on The Voice. It is a huge accomplishment to even get to the place of auditioning on the show, so then to receive four chairs turned is an encouragement. Shye begins to sing the first line, “I can’t stand to fly.” Immediately the first judge turns her chair.

As she approaches the chorus, the audience cheers as she belts with such control and a beautiful tone. A second judge presses the red button to turn. The third judge smiles and turns around, with an immediate turn from the fourth. The crowd goes wild. Her family cheers and celebrates with the host that she has the interest of all of the judges. Shye holds an impressive note that gets the attention of every judge. She is so talented and knows how to control her voice as the song pulls back to a more intimate ending.

The judges ask her about herself, only to discover that she is only 17 years old and from Long Island, New York. The judges are amazed and tell her that her voice is “like butter.” She is told that her voice is given by God because she has honesty and genuineness from the beginning. Each judge tries to get this incredible young artist to join their team. She ultimately selects Michael Buble to everyone’s surprise. He is thrilled.

Just like was mentioned, this girl has a gift from God alone. Even if she does not know that, He has gifted her with a unique voice and she points to His glory.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”  James 1:17
