21-Year-Old Singer Wows Judges and Earns 4-Chair Turn with Incredible Performance
Georgia Starnes, a 21-year-old singer, wows judges and earns a four-chair turn with her incredible performance of Sam Smith's ‘Too Good at Goodbyes.’
The Voice is a popular television singing competition that features aspiring singers performing in front of a panel of celebrities like Reba McIntire, Gewn Stefani, Michael Buble, and Snoop Dog. The coaches face the audience and are only allowed to listen to the singer in order to judge based on their voice. The coaches then turn their chairs if they want to mentor the singer.
While Georgia sang her heart out, she received a four-chair turn, which is rare on the show. That meant each judge wanted her incredible voice and performance. They were even more impressed when they learned she was just a young lady from the state of Texas who had been singing since she was a little girl.
“I love being shocked in this competition. You don’t look like the sound that comes from your body. I feel like we have this in common because when I started to sing, people expect to see an 80-year-old white guy,” Michael Buble said.
“Well, you rock a cowboy hat really well. You were so good, I had to turn around,” Reba said.
Georgia had her choice before all four judges. They each pitched and persuaded and some begged for her to join their team. But ultimately, she went with Snoop Dogg! He couldn’t help but stand up and do a victory dance before giving her a hug. We cannot wait to see what is in store for her future, and we’ll be counting down to the days until her next performance on The Voice. We hope this performance was a delightful part of your day and a reminder to use the gifts God has given each of us.
1 Peter 4:10 "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."
