Comedian Nate Bargatze Jokes About His Wife’s Money-Saving Ways
Comedian Nate Bargatze jokes about his wife’s money-saving ways. He hilariously illustrates how his better half is a penny-pincher, even when it might mean leaving them in the dark, literally. Watch the video to hear the hilarious way in which his wife is bound and determined to keep as much money in her pocketbook as possible.
Money doesn’t buy happiness, which is a very accurate statement. Many financially well-off individuals are lonely and miserable. While purchasing power does not necessarily result in joy, wealthy, happy people do exist. But that still doesn’t mean those who have an abundance of money should spend recklessly.
Many people worry about their finances. Not having enough money and worrying about paying bills are massive concerns and burdens. That’s why saving and making your dollar stretch as far as possible is always a good idea. However, some people can take their penny-pinching ways to an extreme.
In a short and hilarious clip posted on YouTube, Nate shares how far his wife will go to save money. He mentions how his wife does not appreciate electricity going to waste. She does not want any lights on that are not absolutely necessary.
“She’s the cheaper one of us as well,” he says. “Not in a bad way, you know? She likes the lights being off. Turn the lights off, you know? Save money, turn the, hit the little lights off.”
He then details what it’s like to live in a darkened house.
“It’s fun time being in that environment,” he added. “Turn the light on, find your seat, get a stick, knock the light back off. Sit in the dark and be sad. Just be sad all day, but you’re saving nickels upon nickels.”
Later in the clip, he mentions a conversation with his wife about turning off the lights.
“Right when I get in bed, ‘You turn that light off that I can’t tell that’s on? Well, get out of bed, turn it off,’” he said.
But in the end, Nate hilariously mentions how his wife’s frugal electricity-saving ways will pay off.
“Eighty years, we’ll give our daughter the $37 from all the nickels we saved,” he said.
Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.
