Only a handful of entertainers become beloved across generations. Their talent and longevity are recognized and appreciated. But it’s their sweet, humble and caring natures that endear them to the masses.

Carol Burnett and the late Betty White are two people in the entertainment field who immediately come to mind when thinking about beloved individuals. They are loved across generations and seem to be genuine people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

Another person who evokes the same feelings in people is Dick Van Dyke. He has appeared in iconic television and films throughout his illustrious career. Even in his late 90s, he still makes appearances here and there. But it’s his sweet, gentle personality that has endeared him to people.

A clip posted on YouTube features Dick in several hilarious skits during guest appearances on The Carol Burnett Show. All the included sketches are memorable and will keep you laughing for the foreseeable future.

In the first skit, Dick, Carol, Tim Conway, and Vicki Lawrence are in a skit in which they are performing a classical, highly choreographed dance that quickly goes off the rails. It’s slapstick comedy at its finest, with everyone getting their fair share of punches and slaps to face.

Next, Dick plays a socially awkward person who attempts to strike up a conversation with Carol. The only problem is that she has as much trouble in social situations as he does. The pair do not hit it off despite all their effort.

Finally, Dick is at the airport saying his goodbyes to his family. But things turn awkward fast. It shows what happens when you say goodbye, but the people don’t leave when expected.

Job 8:21 “The time will come when your mouth will be full of laughing, and cries of joy will come from your lips.”
