The Isaacs’ Beautiful Cover of ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’

The Isaacs have delivered a beautiful cover of “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail).” It’s a wondrous and awe-inspiring rendition of one of the most popular contemporary Christian music songs. Check out the video to listen to and watch the dazzling performance.

A crucial element of being a Christian is faith - following and listening to what cannot be seen. As anyone who has been a Christian for any significant amount knows, going on faith and trust is, at times, all we can do. There will be instances where the outcome and road ahead are unclear and murky.

These times of great uncertainty and pain are never fun. However, as He often does, He can and will use these instances to grow and strengthen our faith and trust in Him. Sometimes, life may take an unexpected detour and send us somewhere we never imagined. But even in these situations, He will never leave nor forsake us. Instead, He will always provide His loving guidance and direction.

In a clip posted on YouTube, The Isaacs sing the beloved song about encountering frightening circumstances in which the outcome and the road ahead is uncertain. Where are we to go from here? What do we do now? Even during that situation, He is still in control and on the throne.

“Your grace abounds in deepest waters

Your sovereign hand will be my guide

Where feet may fail, and fear surrounds me

You’ve never failed, and You won’t start now”

Those beautifully written lyrics speak to situations and circumstances that may bring about fear and challenge our faith and trust. However, as those lines also mention, He has never failed us in the past, and there is no indication or reason to believe He will suddenly start now.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
