Classic Billy Graham Sermon Reminds Us To Make This One Change To Go To Heaven

Even though his teaching is from years past, Billy Graham’s messages from the Bible are still valuable to our culture today. In this classic Billy Graham sermon reminds us to make this one change to go to heaven.

Billy Graham is teaching in Columbus, Ohio in 1993. He shares from John 3 and tells the story of Nicodemus. Billy makes jokes about his first day of school being hard for him.

He talks about how so many changes happened that day and how it compares to the times today where so much is always changing. He says that there is information overload in our society. Billy explains that Nicodemus was a religious leader who came to Jesus at night. Billy shares the horrible sin and corruption in this world.

Billy teaches that Nicodemus’ religious works were not enough to save him, he needed to be born again. Billy shares that our souls are infected with sin and we need forgiveness through Jesus. Billy explains that Jesus came to die for all of our sins because He loves us.

Billy shares that Jesus teaches the spiritual but Nicodemus could only think about the physical. Billy explains that reception of the Word of God is like conception, the work of the Holy Spirit’s conviction, and accepting Jesus as Savior to be born again. Billy then gives an altar call to the audience and many come to accept Christ as their Savior.

As we listen to the message of the gospel shared by Billy, it causes us to ask the question, “Have I been born again?” If you have, then celebrate this new life, if you have never been born again, take this moment to accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,” Titus 3:5
