13-Week-Old Joins Meteorologist Mom For The Evening Weather

When a mom has an important job and a baby, she gets creative about how to do both. In this video, a 13-week-old joins her meteorologist mom for the evening weather.

Rebecca Shuld from Milwaukee, Wisconsin appears in the weather forecast with her adorable baby girl. Rebecca makes small jokes about her sweet daughter Fionna having bedhead and getting up from her naps. Rebecca records from home with the baby. She is in her messy basement with a green screen set up. She says, “This is real life folks.”

Rebecca says that she has gotten “approximately 20 hours of sleep in the past three months.” She then shows her little girl. Rebecca was not planning on having her daughter join her on camera, but during a mic test, her producer encouraged it.

Rebecca says that she did not realize how impactful it would be to bring her baby on the air. She has been contacted numerous times by others telling her how it brightens their day. In regard to this busy season, Rebecca says, “it is a lot, but it’s awesome too.”

In a time where quarantines exist and many people have had to make changes to their daily routines, Rebecca shows us the reality of being a mom and a meteorologist. Life might look messy, but her positive attitude shows the power of gratitude and creativity. Instead of thinking negatively and being hard on ourselves, we can think about the wonderful things of God. We can choose joy each day.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8
