Astronaut Brings A Gorilla Suit Onto The International Space Station

If you are looking for a good laugh, then check out this video. An astronaut brings a gorilla suit onto the International Space Station.

Scott Kelly is up at the International Space Station and he opens a special care package that was sent by his twin brother Mark. In this clip we hear the dramatic music of “Also Sprach Zarathusta,” the theme song from 2001 Space Odyssey. Scott opens up a large bag and then suddenly Scott in a gorilla costume pops out. He floats after his coworker and “chases” him around. It is hysterical.

This took a lot of effort and time to get this idea to take place. I love the twin brothers' sense of humor and hard work in making this possible. As you watch the video, consider the amount of time these scientists spend in a confined space, unable to enjoy a lot that we do here on earth. Having a moment to laugh and play while in the station meant the world to these guys.

You are likely not in space, however, sometimes we too can feel boxed in and claustrophobic in life. We can feel stuck. The beauty is that when we have faith in Christ, we can find joy and laughter in Him. God is the Creator of the sense of humor and delights in His creation of fun and play. Today, remember to take time to be thankful and laugh. Today, we can acknowledge that the Lord has done great things for us and this will lead us to joy.

“Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” Psalm 126:6
