3 Men From Celtic Thunder Sing Powerful Rendition Of 'Hallelujah'

This is an absolutely mesmerizing performance by some very talented individuals. In this video, 3 men from Celtic Thunder sing a powerful rendition of “Hallelujah.”

At the start of this video, a man has a beautiful start to singing “Hallelujah.” Suddenly when the chorus comes, another man joins in singing an amazing harmony. Afterwards, for the second verse, a third young man joins them leading the song. The three men then sing in perfect harmony as they enter the chorus.

There is an incredible ensemble of instrumentalists who cannot be overlooked in this performance. There is a string quartet, pianist, and percussionist. There are clips of audience members moved by the song. Each man puts passion and zeal into his performance. The three parts blended together sound as smooth as butter. They are three different voices, but one song.

Leonard Cohen wrote “Hallelujah.” The beautiful chorus repeats the same powerful word in its lyrics.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

The meaning of the word hallelujah according to Dr. Dikkon Ebberhart from Crosswalk is “Praise the Lord.” The three men singing different parts of the song reminds me of the verse in Scripture of the strand of three that is not easily broken. I

n any relationship on earth, whether it be friendship, family, or marriage, we need Jesus to be at the center for success. We need Him to be the third strand that holds us together just like there were three men holding together this performance. We are not perfect, but Christ at the center of our lives and relationships will hold us firmly together.

“And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” Ephesians 4:12
