Firefighters Rush To Save Trapped Man In Sinking Car

There is nothing quite like watching real heroes in action. In this video, firefighters rush to save a trapped man in a sinking car.

In this dramatic clip, we see a car in a lake that is sinking and the doors are unable to be opened. Brave firefighters arrive and one swims up to the car to remove the door. One man shouts, “you are going to be ok!” In an amazing sovereign placement of God, there were firefighters filming a training video on a boat when the car went off the parking lot at a marina. Instead of practice, these individuals dove straight into a real-life emergency.

A rescue diver communicates in the water next to the window, as the fireman busts through the passenger window with a shovel. They tell the man to get his seatbelt off and to get out of the vehicle. The amazing men and women pull the trapped man out of his car and onto their boat. After they rescue him, the car sinks under the water completely. Medical workers come to his aid and the man is reportedly doing just fine. We also see a tow truck pulling the submerged car out of the water.

This video of rescue reminds us how helpless we are without Christ. In the midst of our sins, we were sinking, but Jesus came to save us from eternal death and give us eternal life. He is reaching His hand out every day, people just have to accept His gift of salvation and they will be freed just like the man was rescued from the car.

This story makes me think about the time when Jesus was walking on water and Peter got out of the boat and began to sink. Jesus pulled him up and got him back on the boat to safety. How has Jesus pulled you out of rough waters recently?

“And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, ‘You of little faith, why did you doubt?’” Matthew 14:29-31
