Husband And Wife Sing 'Mary, Did You Know?' Duet

Caleb and Kelsey Grimm bring the chills with this stunning rendition of ‘Mary, Did You Know?’

It took over 7 years for Mark Lowry, the songwriter, to perfect the lyrics to this song. The idea came to Lowry when he was writing a Christmas program for Jerry Falwell and he started thinking about what he would ask Mary if she was sitting right in front of him. He wondered how she must have felt when the angel told her she would birth a child of God. Then, he put together the questions that eventually became the lyrics we all know and love today.

‘Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God’

Caleb and Kelsey Grimm are an incredibly talented married duo. Known by their stage name, Caleb + Kelsey, these two Christian vocalists have given us brilliant worship covers and secular favorites such as ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’ and ‘My Heart Will Go On.’

Today, they are reminding us of the real reason for the season with this chilling rendition of ‘Mary, Did You Know?’

‘Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect lamb?
That sleeping child you're holding is the great I am’

Luke 1:30-31 ““And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.”
