This movie being released this month has already gained a lot of recognition with awards from national and international film festivals. The story is based on a man who lost his father as a young boy. He is now grown and he has found the woman he loves. He proposes and marries and is pursuing his dream of being a police officer, only to find out that it is not as easy as he anticipated. There are scenes of the cop having to tell various families about their losses of loved ones.

He really hits the greatest trial of his life when he loses his wife and daughter. The trailer shows him handling his struggles in unhealthy ways, such as drinking. He falls into depression and becomes suicidal after so much devastation and darkness. Ultimately, he turns to the only One who can save Him.

Life is hard. This movie reminds us of the power of Christ in our broken places. You may not have experienced this much loss in your life, but we can all relate to disappointment and brokenness. No matter what our losses are, may this remind us of our special gift of redemption and comfort from our Savior Jesus.
