The newscasters tell us in a note that Arlene was described as an earthly angel. She has taken care of many children in the church as if they were her own.

When she was aware again, she went to her home across the road and called her brother. When she fell, her hands were in her pockets and so she broke her nose and other facial bones.
She went to the hospital, but that did not stop her from opening her house to a family of four in need of a place to stay. The letter describes how hospitable Arlene is to the community.

The newscasters give her a gift and she opens it and realizes that it is $10,000. She is so amazed and grateful. They encourage her to do whatever she wants to get her shower fixed. The newscaster gives her another check for $10,000. She is in shock and thanks whoever is giving the money.
