Pastor Rushes To Tackle Man With Gun During Sermon

In this dramatic video, you’ll witness a pastor protecting his flock as he rushes to tackle a man with a gun during the sermon.

One wolf in a sheep pen can ravage the flock. The same is true for a church. Typically, pastors are aware of their real enemy, but this time, the enemy came in the form of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Ezekiel Ndikumana has been a pastor for years at a small church in Tennessee. He had made a call to come to the altar when various members of the congregation were coming to the front for prayer including the gunman.

The pastor had stepped to the side of the altar and was praying with a few church members. Once the gunman reached the altar, he pulled a gun from his waistband. The entire church was in utter shock and disbelief, fearing for their lives.

The gunman waved the gun around in the air as he set some books on the pulpit and shouted for the entire congregation to stand up. There was nowhere to run or hide from the suspect.

In a matter of seconds, Pastor Ezekiel crept up behind the gunman and then tackled him. When the congregation witnessed their pastor’s heroic efforts to try and subdue the gunman, several other members in the front joined in.

During this dangerous encounter, surprisingly, the gun didn’t go off. No shots were fired and no one was harmed. They were able to keep the gunman down until law enforcement arrived to take the man into custody.

God’s hand of protection was certainly on this congregation. It’s a miracle no one was harmed and even more miraculous the gun didn’t go off. No one knows the motive, nor why this young man brought a gun to church. What he had intended for evil, God used the courage and heart of the pastor to protect the people in this church.

“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he purchased with his own blood,” Acts 20:28.
