'This Is Just What Heaven Means To Me' Goodman Revival Live Performance

Listen to this beautiful live performance from Goodman Revival of the song ‘This Is Just What Heaven Means To Me.’

“A country where no twilight shadows deepen, unending day where night shall never be.
A city where no storm clouds ever gather, now this is just what Heaven means to me.
A place where there is no misunderstanding, and from all enmity and strife we're free.
No unkind words to wrong the heart are spoken, now this is just what Heaven means to me.”

This wonderful performance of ‘This Is Just What Heaven Means To Me’ was recorded live at Gaither Studios in Alexandria, IN. The singers and instrumentalists sound so amazing together, and the audience in the room is really enjoying the performance.

The musical history of The Goodmans is a full one. Back in 1964, they became featured performers on “The Gospel Singing Jubilee,” which was a groundbreaking television show that would run for more than two decades. After 10 years on that program,  they launched their own successful TV show called “The Happy Goodman Family Hour” and became a household name.

Then in 1968, the group won their very first Grammy Award for Gospel Album by a Group for The Happy Gospel of the Happy Goodmans. And after being widely considered pioneers in the Southern gospel genre, the Goodmans were inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1998.

Now, the legacy of The Goodmans continues with Goodman Revival, a trio featuring Tanya Goodman Sykes, her husband, acclaimed producer Michael Sykes, and friend Johnny Minick, a gospel music veteran who shared the stage with Howard and Vestal Goodman for years.

We hope you enjoyed this performance by Goodman Revival today of ‘This Is Just What Heaven Means To Me’ and it was able to encourage you in some way.
