Raccoon Kits Climb Single-File to Mama

Get ready for total cuteness! Watch as these raccoon kits climb single-file to mama. 

At the start of this video, we see a regular backyard fence. On the fence is an unexpected view as raccoon kits climb to mama. The multiple black, white, and gray animals are stacked on top of each other like something out of a movie. They are climbing with all of their might up the fence post. You see the first raccoon do his best and slide a little on his way up the post.

Suddenly, the mama raccoon appears and reaches down to help her kit up with her mouth. The first kit is safe and sound at the top of the fence with mom. You watch as three other raccoons are striving to get to their mother. The second raccoon is even stronger than the first and essentially gets to the top all by himself. It is adorable to view.

It's a Strong Reminder of the Importance of Motherhood

The mama and the first raccoon begin the journey westward on the fence as the second raccoon gets to the top. The little third raccoon makes it as the final raccoon, working so hard to catch up with his brothers and sisters. The mother slowly moves forward while glancing back to check on her young. 

As the final baby is striving to get to the top, the mother turns all the way around and climbs over her kits to get to him. Right as she arrives, the kit reaches the top. She continues over the babies and heads down the fence. One baby falls off the fence again, and they pause to wait for him to get back up. Watching these raccoon kits climb to mama is touching. Motherhood requires a lot of patience,e and watching this raccoon mama reminds us of the love and care that a mother has for her babies and the love that a baby has for his mama.
