Nervous Father-Of-The-Bride Forgets Daughter And Walks Down The Aisle Alone

It was his beautiful daughter’s wedding day, but one nervous father of the bride forgot his daughter and walked down the aisle alone. He didn’t even realize his mistake until an attendant pulled his arm to get his attention. 

The act of walking a daughter down the aisle has become such a part of tradition that many forget the meaning behind it. That was probably the case for this father, Neil Crossley, who left his daughter behind as he walked toward the altar. After he turned around to walk back, he had the entire room filled with laughter. 

Normally, the bride is the center of attention. So when the nervous father of the bride forgot his daughter, all eyes were on him. The recorded moment went viral on TikTok with over 114,000 likes. 

The father was nervous about his father of the bride speech and misheard a cue given to him by the staff.

Everyone's Reaction to the Hilarious Incident

"I was thinking, nothing can go wrong with this part," the 60-year-old said. "Little did I know what was about to happen."

His daughter, Amy Totty, said, “He thought they told him to walk when they had actually said, 'Wait for me!'” She added, I especially appreciated it, as I was trying very hard not to cry, and he helped me compose myself. It was a special moment none of us will forget.”

Thankfully, the nervous father-of-the-bride who forgot his daughter is able to laugh at himself and the little incident. He even incorporated the moment in his Father of the Bride speech and made everyone laugh again. 

It’s so fun when a huge crowd all finds something amusing. It bonds them together through a shared experience. This was a funny mishap, but it will certainly make a great memory for this UK family.
