Americans love themselves some food. At this point, eating could easily replace baseball as America’s pastime. Whenever there is a larger, moderate or even a small gathering of people, you can almost guarantee there will be food. At this point, it’s become expected that if people are going to get together for nearly any occasion, there will be food. If a decent amount of food isn’t made available, there are going to be quite a few angry people.

While everyone loves food, there arguably isn’t a food more universally loved than a steak. Seriously, who doesn’t love a nice, juicy steak every now and then? I know I do, but after deciding upon steak, another big decision must be made: how do you want your slab of meat cooked? Will it be rare, medium rare, medium or possibly even (hopefully not, though) well done?

In a clip posted on YouTube, one comedian hilariously pointed out some of the thinking that might possibly go into making that all-important decision about how to cook the steak. While he is surely exaggerating for comedic effect, there’s more than a little truth in what he’s saying and doing here. You and I both know this to be accurate.

According to the video, someone who wants their steak rare has a deep-seated desire to be seen as “manly.” He continues to go through every cook, making hilarious points about someone who wants their steak cooked this way or that way. However, he adds that there is one way to cook a steak that is for someone who is “perfectly normal”
