An officer busting up a senior citizens’ bingo game is the funniest thing you’ll see today. The law enforcement official gently but firmly laid down the law, much to the chagrin and amazement of the elderly participants. Watch the short but hysterical clip to see what happened when a police officer broke up a bingo game in a senior living residence.
Everyone has hobbies, or at least they should. Participating in those favorite pastimes can do wonders for one’s physical and mental health. Even if just for a few hours, it’s always good to get away from those worries and stresses of everyday life.
Now, while some may enjoy golf, running, or activities that require a lot of motion and physical exertion, for some, that is just not possible. When mobility becomes an issue, individuals have to look for less physically taxing and draining activities, like Bingo. Who doesn’t love a nice game of Bingo every now and then?
Well, if you know anything about the elderly, Bingo is typically popular among that demographic. However, in a clip posted on YouTube, several senior citizens who were participating in a game of Bingo quickly found themselves on the wrong side of the law, or at least that’s what they were led to believe.
The clip posted on social media captured a police officer instructing the residents of a senior living residence that they were technically breaking the law. Due to a recently passed ordinance related to gambling, he was being forced to shut down their game. The looks on the seniors’ faces are priceless. They believe that they are about to face the swift and powerful hand of the law because of their gambling-related activity.
However, as is often the case, things are not always as they appear at first glance. These lawbreakers escaped serving hard time, at least this time anyway.
Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”
