Mom Hilariously Shows How Kids Take Everything Literally
Mom hilariously showed how kids take everything literally. This mother knows how youngsters will interpret and then react to whatever is said to them. Watch the short but hysterical and incredibly relatable clip to see how children respond when someone says something to them.
Every parent will agree that children can have more than a little bit of trouble with directions at times. Sure, a lot of the issue has to do with the youngster’s inability and even their refusal to listen to what is said. Giving a child a command is often an exercise in complete and utter futility. As the old saying goes, a lot of what parents say goes in one ear and out the other.
A child's failure to follow a parent’s directions and commands is a major part of their listening problem. But, of course, that is not the only factor when it comes to a child’s inability to follow directions. Another big issue is that children are very literal and given their young age, are unable to pick up on things like sarcasm, subtext and other underlying, implied meanings. They aren’t familiar with figures of speech.
In a clip posted on YouTube, a woman, portraying both the parent and the child, hysterically demonstrates the responses children are likely to give when certain phrases and words are used. Every parent will completely and totally relate to how the child responds.
The video begins with the mother asking her child to find the remote because the one in her hand is no longer working, and the child does exactly that. The little one momentarily disappears and returns a few seconds later, completely empty-handed. The mother is baffled.
Next, when outside, the mother tells the child to “pick up your feet, please.” The child finds this request impossible, but still gives it the old college try, hoping to please Mom anyway.
Those are just two of the scenarios in the short clip that will have you laughing and nodding along.
Proverbs 22:6 “If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old, he will not be turned away from it.”
