The Beatles’ classic “Yesterday” shone brightly in this stunning duet performance. The two street performers put their considerable musical gifts on full display, playing a tune known and beloved by all. The Beatles are, without a doubt, the most popular and influential band of all time. Some could argue that other bands and musicians did just as much as the Beatles to shape and shift the direction of music. However, in my opinion, it would be difficult to say that others were more influential than the four lads from Liverpool, and I say this as someone who is not a fan of the Beatles.

Nevertheless, despite my not being the biggest fan of Paul, George, John and Ringo’s music, I still understand that they essentially changed pop music, and all music, for that matter. And that influence is still easily spotted to this day. Beatles tunes still get endless radio play on countless stations. Any time there is a Beatles song playing, you can bet that anyone within earshot will be familiar with it and will likely start singing or humming along. Also, countless musicians and bands have been influenced by the Beatles' music.

Yes, it’s a song that we have heard hundreds, possibly even thousands of times, but the talent on display here is mind-blowing. Both of these young people have been blessed with a ton of musical talent, as evidenced by this marvelous performance.

Even if you’re not the biggest Beatles fan, like me, there is still plenty to appreciate here. When someone has talent, people are willing to listen and watch, even when they cover a song that you might not entirely love.
