When the song was released on April 16, 2026, Matthew shared, “This isn’t just a song, it’s a declaration. Something you can sing at the top of your lungs when you need to remember who’s really on the throne. Let this be your anthem.”

Matthew wrote the song because he wants to boldly share his faith. He was also inspired by Max Lucado’s book called “Six Hours One Friday,” which details Jesus’ suffering. Matthew also wanted to tell Jesus’ story through song and hopes others do, too.
