This Hilarious Take on Workplace Meetings Is Painfully Accurate
This hilarious take on workplace meetings is painfully accurate. You’ve likely felt and thought the exact same thing about meetings at one point or another. Watch the short but hysterical clip that perfectly captures how most people feel about meetings at the workplace.
Communication, especially in the workplace, is essential. It’s crucial to have everyone who is striving toward a common goal on the same page. Yes, technological advancements have given us many forms of communication – email, instant messaging, text messages and phone calls. But all of those are somewhat impersonal and leave room for interpretation and miscommunication.
Even with all the ways we communicate today, nothing beats in-person, face-to-face communication. Given the number of meetings, workplaces still understand the importance of this method of communication. However, the number of meetings held and scheduled can quickly become ridiculous. At some point, it starts to feel like people are scheduling meetings just to get together and gab for half an hour. How is anyone supposed to get any work done like that?
In a clip posted on YouTube, a young woman hilariously demonstrates how the corporate world especially likes its meetings. Perhaps it makes people feel like they are doing something when they really aren’t? I don’t know if that’s the case, but maybe we should schedule a meeting to discuss it?
The video shows the woman enduring one pointless meeting after another. Each one is more ridiculous and unnecessary than the one before it. She quickly grows weary of the endless meetings, leaving very little time to get any real work done. Hilariously, despite all the meetings that she’s required to attend, the woman’s boss wants to know why she is struggling to complete her work on time.
The next thing you know, companies will hold a meeting to discuss holding meetings. And I’m guessing, sadly, there are already workplaces that do this.
Proverbs 16:3 “Put your works in the hands of the Lord, and your purposes will be made certain.”
