Little Girl's 'Because He Lives' Rendition Is Adorable

This little girl’s rendition of “Because He Lives” is adorable. She put everything she had into her performance of the hymn that everyone knows and loves. Watch the short but incredibly sweet clip to hear and see her performance of “Because He Lives.”

Hymns are, without a doubt, some of the most underutilized pieces of music. It’s nearly impossible to make a coherent and acceptable argument otherwise. I mean, even many churches, the very places you’d expect to hear hymns, have started to move away from and abandon the old hymns. That just doesn’t make any sense to me, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that regard.

The more modern, contemporary Christian music is fine, and there are many talented artists who create in that genre of music. However, nothing will ever compare to the old beloved church hymns. There is simply no topping “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” “How Great Thou Art,” “It Is Well with My Soul,” "Blessed Assurance,” “Amazing Grace” or any other similar hymn. It doesn’t matter the contemporary Christian song; there will always be a hymn that is far and away better in every way.

A clip posted on YouTube suggests that hymns may not be as neglected as originally thought. The video is of a young woman, a child, performing a hymn that is near and dear to the hearts of many: “Because He Lives.”

While sitting on the front porch and wearing a backpack, the child starts belting out those familiar lyrics, giving it her all. It’s such a sweet rendition, showing that she is clearly familiar with the song. She nails the lyrics.

“And because He lives, (I can face tomorrow) I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, (all fear is gone) all fear is gone
Because I know (I know) He holds the future
(Life is worth a living) and life is worth a living just because He lives”

Hilariously, about halfway through the clip, she stops singing and asks if a recording of her musical performance can be sent to “Luke” because he is her “best boyfriend.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
