PS22 Chorus Stunning Cover of Dolly Parton's 'Light of a Clear Blue Morning'

The PS22 Chorus's stunning cover of Dolly Parton's “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” will lift your spirits today. Who better to sing this hopeful cover than a children’s choir? Watch the video to see the children sing a sweet song.

The PS22 choir is made up of 85 public school 4th and 5th-graders in Staten Island, New York. Their choir leaders fittingly chose this song because April is the National Month of Hope.

“And what better embodies hope than our PS22 Chorus children singing Dolly Parton‬'s song ‘Light Of A Clear Blue Morning?’” they said. And I could not agree more. It really does lift the spirits to see all these young children joyfully singing a song about optimism together.

Some of the lyrics the PS22 Chorus sing in their Dolly Parton cover are:

'Cause I can see the light of a clear blue morning
I can see the light of a brand new day
I can see the light of a clear blue morning
Oh and everything's gonna be all right

Dolly said of her song, “I wrote ‘Light of a Clear Blue Morning’ during a season when I was searching for hope, and 50 years later that message still feels just as true.”

The song came out in 1977. After Dolly had a tough time with her music associate, Porter Wagoner, she looked up in the morning and saw the sun breaking through the clouds, which inspired this song.

The PS22 Chorus Dolly Parton cover is full of gentle joy. If you are having a hard time or need a little boost of optimism, then this is the perfect video to watch today.
