Band’s Beautiful Cover of 'Jolene' Captivates

This cover band’s beautiful cover of “Jolene” captivates and stuns. The lead singer, Chloe Castledine, does a really wonderful job of singing the Dolly Parton classic. Watch the video to sing along.

The "Jolene" Dolly Parton cover is hearty and full of country rhythm. The band plays with plenty of twangy instruments, and an electronic violin is a nice touch. All in all, it’s a wonderful tribute to the queen of country, Dolly Parton.

Some of the lyrics the Sing it Live band sings in their cover are:

And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don't know what he means to me, Jolene
[Chorus]: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene

Dolly Parton Wrote “Jolene” After a Bank Teller Flirted With Her Husband

Dolly was inspired to write the song after a bank teller kept flirting with her obviously married husband.

"He was a little embarrassed when I wrote the song 'Jolene' because, actually, it wasn't as serious [as it seems]. I was just jealous 'cause she was a beautiful woman and he was just flirting," Dolly said of her husband.

She also said, “Something good can come from anything. Had it not been for that woman, I would never have written 'Jolene' and I wouldn't have made all that money, so thank you, Jolene.”
The woman’s name wasn’t actually Jolene. Dolly had a young fan with that name, and she had told her she would find a way to include her name in one of her songs.

It’s been 53 years since the song came out, and it has been sung in many languages by many well-known singers like Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, and more.

It’s a song with a great sound. Once you hear it, you can’t forget it. And Sing it Live truly does a wonderful job in their "Jolene" Dolly Parton cover.
