Zoltan Kaszas Recalls His Hilarious AMC Theatres Experience

Visiting your local theater is, for the most part, a great way to spend a couple of hours. Who doesn’t love grabbing some popcorn, a Coke and then kicking back and relaxing while staring at the big screen, and disappearing into the world of those characters and that story? Of course, whether it is a good or great outing depends on whether the movie is enjoyable or one that should have been skipped altogether.

While going to the theater is usually a treat, they have gotten some heavy competition in the last couple of years. Streaming platforms are giving theaters a run for their money, to the point that many are questioning whether theaters will be around much longer. So, to fight back against streaming platforms, theater chains have gotten creative, and many of them now offer customers incentives and rewards to come watch films.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Zoltan mentioned visiting an AMC theater and learning about its rewards program, noting how he was treated because he wasn’t a member.

Despite the less-than-optimal treatment he and his wife received, by the end of his routine, he started to consider possibly joining the program. Maybe becoming an AMC Stubs member is worth it once you are put in another line and see all the people who walk right by you.

“When did movie theaters start having priority lines?” he asked. “We went to AMC, and they’re like, ‘Are you an AMC Stubs member?’ I’m like, ‘You guys are almost out of business. No, alright? No. Guess what? I never signed up for Spirit either.’”
