Comedian Explains How Some Accessible Features Make Dating Awkward

A comedian explained how some handicap accessible features make dating awkward. The funnyman Josh Blue mentioned that, while on dates, things that should make life easier can have the opposite effect. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear why these features don’t always work as planned.

Dating is not always easy. It’s essentially a trial-and-error procedure. The more dates one person goes on, the greater the likelihood of finding Mr. or Mrs. Right. Unfortunately, that means everyone will have their fair share of failed romantic relationships and horrible, downright awful dates.

One would think there has to be a more efficient, foolproof way to find the right person. Well, even though many people may think that dating is how humans have and likely will continue to be the process by which we learn about and get to know someone else. It may not be really efficient, but what else are we going to do?

Additionally, dating can make for some weird and awkward interactions and conversations. But again, that is all part of the process, the system. If you’ve not experienced a strange and uncomfortable silence during a conversation, then you probably haven’t been on many dates.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Josh shared another thing that often makes dating awkward, at least for him. Ironically, the thing that makes those social interactions weird is features meant to make his life easier.

“I’ve been seeing more handicapped-accessible stuff going in everywhere,” he said. “Yeah, that’s great. Really well needed. But I got to tell you, as a physically disabled person, I kind of feel obligated to use that stuff.”

It’s that obligation that leads to some strange, absolutely hilarious situations while Josh is on a date.

“You know how awkward that is when I’m on a date, and I have to use the ramp?” he asked.

He then hilariously mimics using the ramp, then tells his date that this will only take a minute and that he’ll be up the hill.
