12-Year-Old Opera Voice Sings 'You Raise Me Up'

Listen to this stunning rendition of ‘You Raise Me Up’ by a 12-year-old with a beautiful opera voice.

“You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be”

Cormac is the singer in this video, and his voice is so wonderful! It is so pure and clear, and he can reach such lovely high notes with ease.

In his debut album, Hear My Voice, Cormac covers the hit song ‘You Raise Me Up’ as well as other classic tunes like ‘Pie Jesu’, ‘Be Thou My Vision’, and ‘Shenandoah.’ Cormac was discovered during the global pandemic, and he is the youngest person to be signed by the legendary Decca Records.

“It has been a rollercoaster of an adventure, one that I don't really want to stop just yet,” shares Cormac. “I don't know when I will get my grown-up voice or what it will sound like, so I would like to share my treble voice while it is still mine to share."

What exceptional musical talent this young boy has! And his voice has touched the hearts of many who have heard his songs online.

“This is one of my favorite songs,” writes one person after watching Cormac sing ‘You Raise Me Up’ on YouTube. “You have a voice of an angel. And as you grow, your voice will too. And it will become stronger. Keep up this fabulous singing.”
