Parable of the Lost Son (An Animated Adaptation) - By Heath Bewley

This is an animated adaptation of the well-known parable of the lost son, or the prodigal son. This parable, found in Luke 15:11-32, has taken several different forms. This parable tells a story of a rebellious son, who comes to his senses and returns to his father (symbolising God), in repentance.

In the parable told by Jesus, a father has two sons. The younger son comes to the father, and asks for his share of inheritance. The son leaves home for a foreign country. He wastes his wealth, and lives a worldly life, with wild living. When he has little money left, the younger son gets a lowly job. He repents of his sin, and returns home to the father. The father forgives his second son of his sin, and organises a celebration for the son's return. The older son complains that his father never held a party in his honour. He is jealous of his younger brother, and resentful.

I hope you enjoy this adaptation of the parable told by Christ. Just a word of caution: this animation contains adult themes.
